Brickell Key is encircled by a 1.1 mile landscaped sidewalk popular with residents for dog walking, jogging/running and scenic strolls with views towards the bay, Brickell, Downtown Miami and the Port of Miami. The island also has a children's park in the center and a general park on the South side. There are a handful of shops for residents including a gourmet market, an Italian restaurant, a beauty salon, dry cleaner, pet service and a healthy dining option. The island is completely built out with no room for additional buildings to be developed. Swire Properties is the developer behind Brickell Key - they are the same group that built Brickell City Center.

Diego Valencia lives in the Brickell Key neighborhood and specializes in the purchase and sale process of condominiums throughout the urban core of Miami. His focus is on the Brickell, Brickell Key, Downtown Miami, Miami Beach, Edgewater and the Coconut Grove neighborhoods. Born in New York City, he grew up in Eastern Pennsylvania and then moved to Miami in the early 2000’s when his father was relocated to Coral Gables for work.
